Mirinhôron

The Gypsies Funerals are a very important rite of passage for their community. When one dies it is usual to maintain a  long vigil to the body that is usually buried with their personal belongings like jewelry.

Some funeral attract crowds that flock to pay tribute. Personally, I saw some gypsies funeral and has indescribable it maybe the environment: the sound of mourning of mirinhorôn (Romani’s widow in the dictionary), and the black robes …

I intended to reflect my interpretation of the gypsy funeral ritual, with particular attention to  the central female figure of mirinhorôn.
